Protected Species Survey & Licensing
A Protected Species Survey establishes the likely presence or absence of a species on or in the vicinity of a proposed development site. This survey can then inform the appropriate approach to species protection, including licensing.
We have many years' experience of surveys and managing licensed works for a wide range of protected species i.e. bats, red squirrel, badger, freshwater pearl mussel, otter and water vole.
We are holders of SNH Ecologists Badger licence and Bat Low Impact licence, which allow us as qualified ecologists to authorise certain development works in the vicinity of badger setts and pipistrelle bat roosts (link).
